Hello my name is Star, I am six years old. I go to our local country school and have many friends who I love very much. I have an undiagnosed brain condition so I cannot walk or talk yet, but I understand everything and I am very cheeky!
My communications teacher calls me a little toad because I love to play tricks on her.

I live with Mummy and Daddy in the country, and at the moment we have Melanie staying with us. Mel is an occupational therapist so we are very lucky. She is helping Mummy while Daddy is busy. We do physiotherapy every day. This is called ABR, Advanced Biomechanical Rehabilitation. If you would like to click on the links below, you can read all about it. It has helped me to start to use my hands and changed my body to help me move.
I love going to school, and now I have two communication devices which I am using to answer questions and to spell and count. It is very exciting and I hope you will follow my progress as I get better.

Lots of love me xxx

Just a quick word

Hello, just a quick word this week as Mummy has hurt herself and cannot take care of me at the moment. Luckily Gee and Mel have taken over and are taking great care of me until Mummy gets back on her feet and Daddy has finished all of his exams. Unfortunately this means I wont be able to go to my ABR clinic in April, so I will have to stick with the same exercises until next time which is in July in Singapore. Hope everyone else is good and I will talk a little bit more next week.

Hello everybody. I love sitting in my beanbag in the sun chilling out with my cat.
Yesterday Mum took me to the Opthamologist and they tested my eyes. Ingrid put some really horrible drops in my eyes and they started stinging. I was very brave and didnt cry, just pulled a really funny face and tried to rub my eyes.
They said my eyes had improved, I do not need glasses and they dont think I am cortically blind like the doctors at the hospital had said when I was younger.
So that is good news, maybe all the ABR is helping my sight too!
I am very happy at the moment because everybody is asking me questions and I can either nod or shake my head, or I use my twin talk. It is much better at school because I can talk to my friends. I have also started saying MMM and the occasional Ma so hopefully things just keep improving!!

At school with my friends, we baked gingerbread cookies. This year I am in year one, and have been trying to go to school for a full day as much as possible. I still get really tired so am still doing half days also, especially as I have been very bad and partying to all hours of the morning, rather than sleeping. Today I fell asleep in class, while the teacher was talking about verbs. Not a very exciting subject really, so I decided to catch up on some shuteye until something a little bit more entertaining started up.
